Crossfit Love

By Kristy and Jeremy

In the beginning, our love for CrossFit was undeniable. We loved the culture and the idea of being with people as we accomplished something great. We also loved the challenge it presented, mastering new skills, hitting that PR, the possibilities were limitless. Every athlete’s journey is different, but we all eventually hit a point with CrossFit that makes us either turn away or embrace it more. The PRs slow down, progress plateaus, and that is when the journey really begins. Blind obsession and passion turn into the realization that this beast is hard to tame and that the lessons we learn from it are way deeper than we ever imagined.

As you progress in your journey, CrossFit will ask a lot of you. It will ask you to swallow your pride and do what is best for your body, not your ego. CrossFit will ask you to push yourself out of your comfort zone to grow as an athlete and as a person. CrossFit will ask you to prioritize health and to make tough sacrifices outside the gym. CrossFit will ask you to be ok with being uncomfortable, both mentally and physically. CrossFit will ask you to have strong values.

KJ athletes have said yes to this journey; showing up every day to battle these demons and get better. Thousands of gallons of sweat have been left on this floor. Millions of pounds have been lifted. But the single most important part of all, our athletes have made tremendous mental gains, becoming strong, committed, and tough as nails. We do hard shit, and every day as your coaches, we could not be prouder to watch it all unfold.

That is why we STILL love CrossFit.
